Applications:
Welding and Cutting:
Oxy-Acetylene Welding: Acetylene is commonly used in combination with oxygen to produce a high-temperature flame (around 3,500°C or 6,332°F) suitable for welding and cutting metals. This process is known as oxy-acetylene welding.
Oxy-Acetylene Cutting: The same flame is used to cut through metals in industrial and construction applications.
